Best
known for its abundant land animals like gorillas, chimpanzees, forest
elephants, and hippos, this expedition aims to study the area’s underwater
life. Gabon has hundreds of kilometers of pristine beaches and coastal lagoons,
but little is known about the country’s underwater life. This expedition hopes to
learn more about Gabon’s underwater environment, from shallow depths to the deep
ocean. With any luck, the knowledge gained will inspire the government to protect
what is discovered there.

Be
a part of the expedition by following the expedition blog
as Enric and Mike report back from the field over the next few weeks.  Use the resources listed below to add context
to these explorers’ exciting adventures.
