The Syrian Civil War has forced more than 4 million Syrians to flee their countries. Most have fled to the nearby hosts countries of Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, and Iraq.   • Why are Syrian families fleeing their country?
    • Syria is engaged in an horrific civil war. The authoritarian government of President Bashar al-Assad is being opposed by rebel groups with different agendas, from greater freedom to the establishment of an Islamist state. A Kurdish-dominated region in Syria has also declared independence. And then there’s ISIS, an international terrorist organization seeking to establish a new caliphate with a Syrian capital.
