  • Do the Nashtifan windmills operate the same way as modern wind turbines?
    • No. Windmills are not the same as wind turbines. Wind turbines generate electricity. Windmills like those at Nashtifan were originally designed to grind (mill) grain and pump water.

  2. That is sad to see that history will destroy these wonderful relics of our past. Preservation is the only key to retaining these for future generations. We have some similar old windmills on our website but these ones are by far the oldest..
